ABOUT US
Gas Technical Services serves domestic and commercial customers in Pembrokeshire
providing all aspects of services relating to gas and oil fired central heating
system, gas fires, cookers, water heaters, air conditioning systems and solar
panels. We also have a Fireplace Showroom specialising in the best in
traditional or contemporary gas, electric and solid fuel fires, as well as a
stunning selection of fireplaces, mantels and hearths.
The Company was formed in 1994 by Paul Smith who served 23 years with British
Gas. Starting as an apprentice in 1971 he served with British Gas as a
Service Engineer, Showroom Sales Manager and finally as Industrial and
Commercial Engineer for West Wales, gaining valuable training and experience in
all aspects of gas work, appliance breakdowns and heating systems.
With a team of highly experienced staff and Gas Safe Registered engineers
working for him, he prides himself on the Company providing a high level of
prompt, quality service to its Customers.
Gas
Technical Services have built an excellent reputation locally over the last 14
years for providing excellent service to both Domestic and Commercial customers
within Pembrokeshire.
We do not limit ourselves to
houses either. One of the most difficult jobs we have done in recent years
is to replace the hot and cold water system at the Hean Castle Estate in
Saunderfoot. This magnificent building was more than a challenge, but the
work was completed with the minimum of disruption.
Gas
Technical Services provide Central Heating Maintenance Contracts to over 1000
local contract customers, providing them with regular servicing of their Central
Heating systems, cookers and fires, as well as a Same Day, 24 hour breakdown and
emergency service. In addition, we deal with around 10 breakdowns a day from
customers who are not on a maintenance scheme with us.
Our 4 teams
of engineers are in constant contact with our local office through use of our
radio network, providing excellent communication between engineers and the base
station.
In addition
all our vehicles are fitted with the latest in satellite tracking enabling the
office to always know where the engineer is and for the engineer to easily find
the most remote of addresses.
Talking of
remote addresses, sometimes in Pembrokeshire, we get called upon to go to an
address which really does cause logistical problems.
Take for
example, at the beginning of the
summer we were asked to do some work on Skomer Island. We have
now been asked to work on providing a Heating and Hot Water system to the
Visitors Centre powered by Renewable Energy…….so we don’t just deal with gas and
oil.
As well as
Domestic boiler replacement, system upgrades and new central heating
installations in the Domestic sector, we also carry out Industrial and
Commercial Design and Installation work.
Gas
Technical Services have recently completed the installation of Air Conditioning,
Factory Heating, Ventilation and the Installation of all sanitary ware at the
new Cambrian Windows factory in Pembroke Dock.
Then of course, we have our
showroom in Pembroke Dock which features the best in Gas Fires, Electric Fires,
Oil Fires, Wood burning Stoves, Mantels and Fireplaces.
